My name is Kieley. I’m a proud wife, mama of two, Registered Nurse, and someone who cares deeply about creating a sustainable, non-toxic home.
When I first started this journey toward more conscious living, I dove in headfirst — and honestly, I went a little overboard. I stressed about every single thing that wasn’t perfectly non-toxic or eco-friendly. I felt overwhelmed by the amount of plastic in our oceans and even in our rainwater. I felt this huge responsibility to fix everything at once…every product, every habit, every corner of my life that didn’t align with the lifestyle I wanted. And because I had read so much about the dangers — to our planet and to ourselves — it felt urgent. I tried to change it all, all at the same time.
It didn’t take long to realize that my approach wasn’t sustainable. I was burnt out, anxious, and constantly second-guessing myself. So I took a step back and asked what really mattered to me — what aligned with my values, what supported my family, and what I was okay letting go of. Because perfection was never the goal. The goal, I realized, was making conscious choices that move us toward a healthier, happier lifestyle without the pressure to do it flawlessly. Balance matters. It keeps this journey joyful instead of stressful.
Over the years, I’ve spent countless hours researching and comparing products — looking at sustainability practices, materials, transparency, and of course, price point. So many beautifully made, non-toxic products are priced out of reach for most families, including mine. That’s where the balance comes in again: choosing what matters most, choosing what’s realistic, and remembering that every small step counts.
In this blog, I share the ways I’ve found balance in my own home, the conscious swaps that have made the biggest difference, and the simple strategies that help me create a sustainable, low-tox environment where my family’s health and happiness always come first.
Warmly,
Kieley
